NightLine Does It Again…Is Satan Real?…Baw, Humbug!

Friday, March 27, 2009

…..Really tough watching NightLines’ coverage of the theme of their show last night….’Is Satan Real?’  Sounds provocative, hum?   Why not discuss this?  They had four people on stage–two who believe and two who do not.

There was an invitation at the end to go to ABC.com and listen to the whole debate, as the show was only 30 minutes.  So this morning I did go there, and could find nothing of past shows–just the current stuff…..did they really think I (watching from the comfort of my bed) or most of us would get up after their late 12:30 AM show and go there?

Most of the time covered on screen was given to the ‘New Age Guru’ who is well known for the books he has written, TV interviews etc.  Wrapped in a black suit, with a high collar, he looked pretty foreboding–however, has a nice voice and speaks very well.  His big message (as I saw it) was that he has overcome all shame and guilt within himself…..i.e. he is his own god.  (Wonder where he will go when he physically leaves here?….they didn’t discuss that.)

The Pastor that graciously hosted the discussion at his church was warm, looked the part of the modern church (one that encourages young people-unpretentious) and got in a few good points, but had little time on the show that was aired, to give much background for his beliefs.

The other man, a former Pastor, considered (he said) by many as a heretic, said he had believed in the devil, had done many deliverances before he decided it was all a falsehood and stopped helping people in that way, and was asked to leave the church.  He did not have much on-air time….how I wanted them to ask him if he had gone back to the people he had worked with, and ask them if they no longer believed– those who received the deliverance?

The fourth person was my favorite, a former ’hooker’ who said she knew the devil, and now knows the Lord personally and has been delivered from a terrible former lifestyle and now has a ministry helping other women to be free!  How wonderful! Look what she has done with what she had to work with….amazing!  Of course our first ’New Age Guru’ said she could have done that within herself without God.  Since I doubt that he has ever been a prostitute his premise comes from his beliefs and his conclusion stinks– I am a little bias….you bet I am!

I would like to have heard the whole debate….however, my judgment of the ‘reporting, investigative, editing’ talents of ABC Nightline asks the question…..why did they not interview others who had been delivered?  Why did they not interview the police who deal with ‘Satan worshippers and their covens’ across the country?  Why did they not ask why the Pastor believed in the Bible (the only valid source of information) and why the famous Guru does not?  Why did they not talk about ‘true deliverance’ not the Hollywood versions (inspired by the devil himself)?  Why were there not questions like, “What makes serial killers commit their heinous crimes?”  or “What mastermind is behind the genocide of thousands through out history?”  Are those monsters, those men and women, that evil, without spiritual influence to incite them to power, influence and murder?

I am negatively amused that the subject was even on Nightline.  These are the places the devil does his best work, when he can make the unbelievers look good and the believers uneducated and ’simple’.  We have movies out now that degrade Jesus and who He is; who manufacture all kinds of ‘history’ to make the Bible invalid.  And, I am sure there will be more.

If a person  has not accepted the gift of grace from God to accept Jesus into their heart–they can only work from a place of knowledge of their five senses and intellect.  When we enjoy the presence of the Holy Spirit of God in our being (and believe me we know He is there) because of what Jesus did, the life He gave for each of us, when we accept being a part of a spiritual realm, we then begin to understand the true message of the Bible.  We have insight that is not available without that spiritual breakthrough to the right side of the brain.

If the Bible is not valid information then Jesus is not who He said He was. Jesus said His Kingdom was not of this world, so why are we discussing something of another world if we don’t address it in that realm?  The ‘new age guru’ gets a lot of his information from that world, as the demons are happy to feed knowledge and information to support anything that is anti-Christ.  He, in my opinion, is a victim of the devil, in depending upon his own abilities to overcome in life.  And, in my opinion, the Preacher who decided that was all wrong, has fallen into the traps of the devil as well.

Most Christians who read their Bible, believe Satan, the devil, is real.  However, many chose to ignore him as they don’t know how to deal with him.  Writers and producers in Hollywood are fed information about the devil through thoughts and inspiration in their mind.  The devil is not afraid to reveal himself in movies because he thinks the church is inept to handle him.  And he makes the most out of it by scaring some and desensitizing others, who think it is all fictitious and funny.

First, we must believe God Is…..that is a start.  Second, we must know Jesus as person having a personal relationship with Him–knowing the authority Jesus has given to overcome and deal with the devil, his demons and evil in the world.  Then we can say ‘no’ to him, and begin to dispel darkness across the planet with Light.

The devil loved the show last night because he knows that people who do not have true Light will not understand and be even easier to deceive.  The GOOD NEWS is, and Jesus always has good news, we who do know, believe and understand have platforms to obliterate his tactics with Truth.

I know, I mean, really know….because I have submitted my life to Jesus… I have had ‘deliverance’…. I have blessed others with deliverance where they felt demons leave, where their life is changed, and they too know, really know Satan (the accusser) is real.

One of my favorite Pastors has delivered hundreds from addictions, pain, fear, generation problems, personality quirks that hamper and provoke dispair, guilt and shame.  He does it with a gentle voice of confidence and authority.  There are rules in the spirit realm just as there are in the physical.  Those who seek God with all their heart will learn those rules, and take the authority to change their lives and the lives of others.

I have written a book, not as a handbook on deliverance, but information and personal stories of our experiences that will enlighten and open eyes to these spiritual truthes and our power to overcome.  It is available by clicking on the link at the top of this Blog for an ebook copy of Angels and Demons; Hollywood Knows the Difference! or go to www.angelsdemon.com for a published copy.

I didn’t need a ‘debate’ to settle the issue of the devil and his demons….just one supernatural experience to validate the Bible and all it says about them.  I pray thousands, even millions will have the same experience!

Regardless of my own feelings about the NightLine coverage, I know some will see the truth and will respond to call of God on their heart, for the real Truth– Jesus!

Tenacity Found In Movie–Slumdog Millionaire!

Wednesday, March 04, 2009

After watching the Academy Awards (while working on the computer–multi-tasking, you know….) I was drawn into a strong desire to see the move, Slumdog Millionaire.  I have this little game I play with myself, every year I watch the Academy Awards to see if anyone, I mean anyone, thanks God for their good fortune or even acknowledges God at all.

Well, unless I missed something, in 2007, there was one talented gifted Black Actor who thanked God for his good fortune.  Hooray!  God bless that man!  This year two men acknowledged God in their ‘thank you’ speech.  Two men from India….WOW…..that made me want to see the movie any more!         But, enough of this ‘rabbit trail’.

The movie is wonderful.  Well done, very graphic, very realistic, and very haunting…..right into our soul.  The poverty, abuse and the outrageous life of the ’slumdogs’  there reveals reality we don’t want to acknowledge, but it is there.  The movie is a story of tenacity in the face of unbelievable odds, sacrifice and pain that in the end gives us all hope.

I have seen poverty such as was shown, in Tijuana, Mexico.  My friend who spent time in Africa says the says the same thing exists there.  WHOOPS…..I just remembered that the night before I had seen a TV movie on Lifetime–a true story, FOR THE LOVE OF A CHILD, based on a book called SILENCE BROKENby Sara O’Meara and Yvonne Fedderson.

This TV movie is about abused children in our country, United States of America.  We are appalled by the utter depravity we see in other countries, but we have it here too.  There were stories in the movie to make you want to throw-up in seeing what human beings can do to small children, especially contemptible when it is their own children.  In the past there have been terrible news stories of a mother drowning her children, a man setting his son on fire…..and more and more.  In the slums of America crime and pain are a way of life, as all over the world.

How interesting that this malignity of man is the same in all these countries….almost like there is a master plan.  Of course there is a master plan of the enemy to destroy mankind and he uses men, their thoughts, their pain and their actions to do it.

Many men and women are searching for God’s plan in their life, with little regard to the plan of the devil in their lives.  Many do not live in the slums but endure pain and rejection over and over.  God’s plan for man’s life is for good and not evil–God’s plan is to build the Kingdom of God on earth with Grace, Mercy and Love and he uses men and women to do that.  We must not be deceived,  the devil uses men and women to bring about his plans–to kill, rob and destroy–he is a liar and duplicates all he can that God does for good, he does for evil.

How is this possible?  Ignorance of the facts.  Denial of the supernatural.  Fear of confronting the enemy.  Most of all a lack of knowledge of Who God really is…..What Jesus accomplished and the power and authority men and women have in and through Him with the Holy Spirit.

We live in a real world and action such as the women took in the movie, FOR THE LOVE OF A CHILD, where they took in (and still do) abused children and love and care for them, attempting to change their lives, is absolutely necessary–more and more–in every country.   (To help their efforts, or for help, or the movie,  go to: www.childhelp.com)

However, the Bible is very clear our battle is not with flesh and blood.  How do we win a war we don’t acknowledge?  How do we win a war when we don’t know what weapons we have at our disposal?  If we don’t become warriors we will be prisoners of war!

For more knowledge on this, read the Bible.  The book of Ephesians is sooo good, but there is a world of information in all the New Testament.  What did Jesus do?  There’s an answer.  For the insights and experiences our team has had in fighting this war,  our book, ANGELS AND DEMONS, HOLLYWOOD KNOWS THE DIFFERENCE is available at the top of this page under Carol’s Books. It is full of information and real life stories…..

Why We Do What We Do…..

Thursday, January 29, 2009

Well, there’s a provocative question…..if you thought I was going to answer or give some great insight, forgive me, I am not going to do that.  Rather it is just a question we should all ask our selves on a regular basis.

When we just flow with life, we may look back and say something profound like, “Why in the sam-hillhave I been doing that?”  Taking inventory occasionally is helpful!

I definitely want to share why I do what I am doing.  I was 47 years old before someone, my middle son, Patrick, told me I could have a personal relationship with Jesus, with the Creator of the Universe–God.  And, some wonderful ladies prayed over me and told me to take a paper and pen when I prayed, as God would talk to me and I should write down what He said so that I wouldn’t forget or change what He (the Holy Spirit) shared with me.  Well, I did, He did and He still does!

How blessed I was not to question what they told me–had no doubt about it and what a great and awesome adventure it has been.  As many know I am now 75 and though the years have questioned and sought God on every issue that I could think of and how to understand what is taught in the Bible.

I think I would like more social life but my priorities are in Ministry of Blessed Abundance.  I am a widow and I think I would like to marry again (I had a great marriage and hate living alone) but that would require someone who shares the desire to share ‘all about Jesus’ on a regular basis.

I know, if I spent the time to develop more relationships, etc. I could have both of the things I have mentioned.  And, I may do so….

In the meantime, I have one desire…..to share what the Lord has given me over the last 23 years both good (personal knowledge of Jesus, miracles, prayers answered, questions resolved) and bad (failures, disappointments, lack of progress, dealing with some depression, and death of loved ones).

I have worked hard at seeking God–not because I had to—but because I wanted and still want to do so.  How awful it would be for me to go to my grave without sharing the beauty, love and joy of the Lord I have received, in a way, that may spare others much of the grief.

Things and money are pretty important in this world, and I could have had more of both, had I made different decisions.  Even though I live quite simply, I lack for nothing of comfort and feel I am one of the richest women on the planet!

Do I think everyone should choose this path?  No….in fact, quite the opposite!  I think many are ‘called’ (motivated) to go into ministry, find the answers and share the ‘good news’ of Jesus, so the rest of the world can benefit and go in their field of endeavor to build a better world…..raise Godly children, set an example in the market place, and bless the entertainment  and sports field with appropriate competition, and boy, above all….get Holy Spirit filled men and women into government and media.

So, now you know why I do what I do…..how about you…..have a chat with yourself and be sure you are doing what you do for reasons that will bless you and others in the world!  We can all be a champion at home, a sterling example in the work place, and be one of the richest people on the planet.   Our Heavenly Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are always here to help us do it all!

Jill Austin, Woman of Great and Awesome Faith Leaves A Legacy….

Saturday, January 10, 2009

I just received word that a precious woman of God, Jill Austin,  has left us to be with Her Lord.  I cannot imagine anyone loving Jesus more than Jill Austin.  Jill started a ministry called Master Potteras she actually had taken a course in college on pottery and her ministry started out of an exhibit she did at a fair.

Jill has traveled extensively for over 25 years as a national and international conference speaker, ministering the Gospel with signs and wonders following. She has a powerful prophetic anointing and releases the fire of the Holy Spirit, bringing fresh passion and hunger for Jesus Christ!

We met years ago through mutual friends when she spoke at home groups in San Diego.  I can remember so many stories of how this single woman would travel where ever she was asked to go, to teach  preach and heal in the Name of Jesus, regardless of distance, or weather conditions!  Many times it was her faith that got her there, especially in those early years.

As part of her legacy to us, and it is a big one, I want to share my favorite story from Jill’s ministry.  Jill was asked to minister in a foreign country.  One of the Preachers who hear about her invited her to his church.  As she began to speak she notice 4 or 5 men in the back, criticizing and grumbling about a woman preaching.  They were not very quiet and she was well aware of their sentiments as they were vocal.  It turned out that they were Elders in the church.

The Holy Spirit spoke to Jill and told her to invite them to the platform, and she did.  Then the Holy Spirit told her not to touch them or speak, just to watch.  Each man was picked up, one after another, thrown on the back drop and fell to the floor.  The Holy Spirit said for Jill to ask them if they had any thing they would like share.  Humbly each crawled up and off the platform and took seats in the front.  Jill continued to minister, and many were converted and many healed following the message she gave.

All things are possible with God.  I am sure that was a turning point for those men and that church.  If we have any doubt of the story we would have to tear the story of Paul being thrown to the earth (Acts 9:3) and led blind into the city, out of our Bibles.  We have been told the Holy Spirit is always a gentleman….well, perhaps we shouldn’t say ‘always’ too often.  And we should never doubt the power of God in any situation.  The Holy Spirit has many Angels at His disposal at any time, such as  Gabriel who closed the mouth of Zacharias until John the Baptist was born (Luke 1;19,20).

We assume Paul was on a donkey, and those men were certainly on their ‘high horse’; just a short fall to the ground.  This jewel (story) has many facets gleaming to our understanding how our Heavenly Father can change the affairs of men through Jesus and the Holy Spirit, and the Heavenly Host.   There are many more stories that will bless those who know them and share them about the exploits of this Deborah like General in the army of God, Jill Austin!

We can thank God for Jill Austin, and pray many will be the miracles, signs and wonders in the months and years to come because of the legacy she left for so many!  Bye, for now, Jill…..we’ll see you later!

The Answer: Israel, Humas, Palestinian Victims Can Receive….

Wednesday, January 07, 2009

This solution may seem naive, but not to those of us who see miracles through prayer and understanding the spirit realm is far greater than the physical.  I was reading some of the book of Isaiah this morning and found this scripture:

“The Lord has made bare His Holy Arm before the eyes of all the nations; and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God.”  52:10  It says all nations…..’His Holy Arm’  is Jesus….the ends of all the earth include….whoa…..all the earth!   So salvation is for all the earth….duh….we knew that, right!

We who do know the Savior must lead the fight for Israel, for all in the middle east in prayer.  We are told to pray for the peace of Israel.  There is more, much more.  Jesus said, “If any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.”

Just how did he do that?  First He paid for our sins, then declared, “Forgive them Father, they know not what they do!”  He set ‘forgiveness’ in motion, not as a ‘humanaterian’ act but as a law unto God, to be used in the world to bring love, joy and peace with mercy and grace to all mankind…..as many as follow Jesus can use this spiritual weapon of warfare.  Love and forgiveness are so sonorous it is hard to tell the difference at times as both work miracles.

As long as we take sides (spiritually) and judge Humas, or any other terrorist group, we have grounded our prayers in judgment, and the loving affect is gone.  In the physical world we must fight to preserve in what ever way is possible, hoping to use mercy and grace in doing so…..we can leave that to the world and those who are in charge and care for their own people (Presidents, Generals, Dictators, etc.).

But, we who want to win the eternal war will heed the words of Paul to the Romans, “And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly.  The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.”  Rom 16:20

In prayer we have the privilege to forgive (John 20:23), to rid ourselves of judgment (Matt 7:12) and demand the enemy loose the captives (Isaiah 61), declaring peace over them and the Spirit of Prophecy–Jesus  (Revelation 19:10) be released over them, and they are blessed with all the gifts of the Holy Spirit–love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith. (Gal 5:22).

It is mind-boggling to think we have this awesome power–however–we do!  The power of the tongue is life or death, condemnation or liberation!

Years ago friends from Israel told us of many Jewish people who were actually getting a ‘visitation’ from Jesus calling them into faith.  All things are possible with God!

We must Pray prayers that bring Life; pray for protection for all the people from the results of the on-going war; bind the spirits of death, violence and mayhem over both countries (Matt 16:18,19), and pray spiritual protection over ourselves that there will be no retaliation for our intercession!  No matter what the country or nationality Jesus is the answer to world peace, prosperity and well being!
